WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S PLANNED FOR THE PRIDE PROJECT FOR THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS?

OKAY!

:) Some of the things listed below we have planned our attendance to, and some are just ideas for events to attend:

* Every Mon, Tues, Weds: group 4-5:30pm

* Every 2nd & 4th Thursdays from 6:00-7:00pm, there's Coming Out group @ the Q Center (who we partner with a lot, a lot) (69 SE Taylor Ave at SE Water Ave, Portland)

*Every Saturday 6-7pm @ SMYRC is a new group with our clinical intern Lindzee called "Talk Sex With Lindzee"- a safe space to talk about sex and sexuality!

* Every Thursday, there's AMP (the Artist Mentorship Program), a free musician-mentor program for youth at SMYRC 6-9pm

* Every second Saturday is Drag Night at SMYRC: 7-9pm (next one is Fri Feb 13th)

* Every Second Saturday @ Q Center is a youth open mic 6:00-10:00pm

* Every last Wednesday, 6-8:30pm, Gender Queery (a discussion group for trans, genderqueer, folks outside-the-gender-binary, and allies) meets at the Q Center

* Every last Friday is Open Mic Night at SMYRC 8-10:30pm (next one is Fri Jan 30th)

* Every First Tuesday is Board Game Night @ Q Center 7-9pm

* Winter SMYRC Volunteer training: Jan 24-25th

* Gay Skate happens at Oaks Park in SE Portland every third Monday of the month- 7-9pm (next one is Mon Feb 16th)

* Forest Grove PFLAG (Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbians and Gays)
meets every third Tuesday of the month at the United Church of Christ
across the street from Pacific University- 7-9pm (next one is Tues Feb 17th)

* Bridge 13 @ NAFY (New Avenues For Youth) in downtown pdx: Mon Jan 26th- 10:30-12pm

* Bridge 13 for Aloha H.S.- Tues Jan 27th- 2:30-3:30pm

* Bridge 13 for Linfield College- Thurs Jan 29th- 8-9:30am

* Bridge 13 for Lewis & Clark College- Thurs Jan 29th- 2-4pm and 7-9pm

* Every last Saturday- SMYRC Parents, Friends and Family Night: Sat Jan 31st

* Pride Project Movie Night: Sun Feb 1st- Orenco Station, Hillsboro- 6-9pm

* Bridge 13 for Hosford Middle School- Tues Feb 3rd- 4-5pm

* Multnomah County Networking mtg (for adults who work with LGBTQ youth)- Weds Feb 4th 11am-1pm

* "Switch: A Community in Transition" film screening at Hollywood Theatre- Weds Feb 4th- 7pm

* Possible second round of Bridge 13's for Lewis & Clark College- Thurs Feb 5th- 9-11am and 7-9pm

* Bridge 13 for Washington County Independent Living Program- Weds Feb 11th- 5:30-6:30pm

* Bridge 13 for Americorps- at SMYRC 10-3pm- Thurs Feb 12th

* SMYRC Valentine's Day Dance- Sat Feb 14th @ SMYRC 8-11pm

* HIV/Hep C Networking Breakfast @ Public Service bldg, Hillsboro, Weds Feb 18th- 8:30-10am

* Bridge 13 Training for Trainers- @ SMYRC- Sun Feb 22nd- 10-3pm

* Open Mic Night at SMYRC Fri Feb 27th 8-10:30pm

* SMYRC Parents, Friends and Family Night: Sat Feb 28th

* Basic Rights OR Legislative lobby day- March 6th

* GLBTQ Meaningful Care Conference March 13th

* Adolescent Sexualities Conference in Seaside April 6-7th

* We're also continually working on a multi-county event for Night of Noise (celebrating the Day of Silence), April 17th (which we received that $800 grant to fund!)

...thats mostly all that I have written down, as of right now, for the next couple months... As always, I can continually use help on our website, our blog, our myspace, our flyers & brochures, and on planning group activities, events, fundraisers and trips!

GO TEAM GAY!

YAY PRIDE PROJECT!

Welcome one and all to our new blog website, where we can all post photos, videos, posts and comments!

(You can also still visit www.smyrc.org, www.prideproject.org and www.myspace/pride_project.org for more info about our illustrious program!)

We meet three times per week in Washington County from 4-5:30pm: Wednesdays in Hillsboro (Public Service Bldg @ 1st & Main, rm 125), Tuesdays in Sherwood at the Pizza Schmizza in the Safeway parking lot at 99w & Roy Rogers rd, and Mondays in Beaverton (Starbucks @ 117th & Canyon Rd). We also hold social events (skating, movie nights, open mic's, drag shows, camping trips, etc.) usually once every other week!

The Pride Project offers support, education and just a space to be yourself, meet other people like you and have fun!
